PHILADELPHIA – April 17, 2008 –The Philadelphia Dance Company, (PHILADANCO) rang the opening bell at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) today Thursday, April 17. PHILADANCO Founder and Executive Director Joan Myers Brown was accompanied by members of the dance company who performed on the trading floor.

PHILADANCO, founded by Brown in 1970, is a modern contemporary dance company that tours nationally and internationally. For 38 years, the company has been performing before sold-out audiences of diverse people of all ages, creed, ethnicity and cultural traditions.
