PHILADELPHIA- December 17, 2007– The Philadelphia
Stock Exchange will celebrate the holiday season with a special bell
ringing ceremony tomorrow, Tuesday, December 18 with members of The
Pennsylvania Ballet.
Pennsylvania Ballet executive director Michael Scolamiero,
principal dancer James Ady, and the Mouse King will be the featured
performers here at the Exchange, from one of the most beloved holiday
traditions, the 39th annual production of George Balanchine’s
The Nutcracker.
Remarks will begin promptly at 9:15 a.m.

This year’s production of George Balanchine’s
The Nutcracker, presented by PNC, will run December 14 through December
31, 2007 at the Academy of Music. With more than 80 performers, including
over 40 dancers from Pennsylvania Ballet and dozens of local children,
Pennsylvania Ballet is one of the few companies nationwide licensed
to present George Balanchine’s version of this century-old classic,
which was first presented by Balanchine’s company, New York
City Ballet, in February 1954.
