MARTHA REEVES, OF MARTHA AND THE VANDELLAS, RINGS THE OPENING BELL AT THE PHILADELPHIA STOCK EXCHANGE TODAY, FRIDAY, JULY 20

PHILADELPHIA – July 20, 2007 – Martha Reeves, of the renowned singing group Martha and the Vandellas, rang the opening bell at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange today. She is in Philadelphia to attend the 70th Anniversary Convention of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) to which she is an elected delegate from the Detroit AFTRA Local.

Martha Reeves, among other things, was the lead singer of the legendary Motown group Martha and the Vandellas. During her tenure as Motown's reigning female chart-topper, second only to Diana Ross in the 1960s, Reeves and the Vandellas scored over a dozen hit singles including “Dancing in the Street,” “Nowhere to Run" and “Jimmy Mack”.

Reeves went on to perform as a solo singer and has performed in all venues, all over the world with a plethora of musical icons.
