PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 11, 2006 - The Philadelphia Stock Exchange announced
today
that Matthew Rotella has been named to the position of vice president
of options derivatives trading development systems.
Rotella joined the Exchange in 1993 in the equity trading system
group as a programmer analyst. In 1997 he joined the options trading
system development team as a project manager. He has served as director
of application analysis/infrastructure architecture and development
since 2001.
Rotella has played a key role in the development of the PHLX’s
electronic trading system, PHLX XL, now considered one of the premier
options trading platforms in the industry.
A graduate of Temple University, Rotella holds a bachelor’s
degree in computer science. He lives in West Chester, Pa.
