PHILADELPHIA – October 28, 2005 – Philadelphia Eagle’s quarterback Donovan McNabb, on behalf of the American Diabetes Association (ADA), will ring the opening bell at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange on Tuesday, November 1 in recognition of National Diabetes Month. Diabetes is the sixth leading cause of death in this country.

Opening remarks begin promptly at 9:20 a.m., 10 minutes before trading begins.

The media is invited for interviews starting at 9:00 a.m. in the Exchange's lobby at 1900 Market Street. Photography is permitted on the trading floor.

Donovan McNabb and his family have been supporters of the American Diabetes Association for many years. The Donovan McNabb Foundation is the ADA’s major sponsor for the Donovan McNabb Diabetes Camp for Kids. On a personal level, Donovan's father, Samuel, has Type 2 diabetes
