SANTA CLAUS TO RING OPENING BELL AT THE PHILADELPHIA STOCK EXCHANGE ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 1For more information, contact Barbara Sorid at 215-496-5200 or by e-mail PHILADELPHIA, November 26, 2003 –To usher in the holiday season, Santa Claus will ring the opening bell at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange on Monday, December 1. Remarks will begin promptly at 9:20 a.m., 10 minutes before trading begins. Staff Sergeant Ray Weigand, the Philadelphia Toys For Tots Coordinator for the Philadelphia Marines, and Staff Sergeant Paul Cates will join Santa Claus to mark the beginning of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange’s annual toy drive. The appearance of Santa Claus marks the final bell-ringing ceremony in a yearlong series of special monthly opening bell ceremonies.
